Question about making quilts to sell....?

I want to start making quilts to sell, online eventually, but first in stores locally. My question is, if I use a pattern from a book or website, can I sell the quilt or will that be violating a copyright? Also, if I use licensed fabrics (like Disney or John Deere or NFL team fabrics), can I still sell the quilt? Please help!
