I really slacked off for lent.?

We are Catholic. We are raising our children Catholic. I teach RE. We are not committed to the traditional lenten requirements. We eat meat on Friday, we did not sacrifice anything, we did not change at all. I truly want the children to be dedicated catholics but how can I teach them if I am not dedicated. Should I just start today? With easter only week and a half away it just seems pointless. Or just try better next year?Please do not criticize Catholicism nor tell me to go to a different church, I am a cradle catholic and know no other church where I feel comfortable.
