Really want to buy a new processor for my pc?

It might help to know what processor you have now. I wouldn't recommend sinking money into more than either an upper end Core 2 Duo (e7000 line) or a midrange Core 2 Quad. Socket 775 is getting phased out soon and isn't the hottest thing around. It would be a waste of money to stick a $250 CPU in it.
