Does McCain have an honesty problem?

I remember that when Gore was running there were all sorts of articles about how he had an honesty problem. Turned out, of course, that he didn't, that it was Bush who lied. But the reason I mention it is that McCain has told more lies than I've ever heard in a presidential campaign, and I'm old enough to remember Nixon's! How come there aren't all sorts of articles saying McCain has an honesty problem?
